First Phantom of the year!

Happy New Year from our feline crew!

Our first Phantom Phriday of the year features one of Phantom’s greatest foes – the mandarin. Phantom hates it’s citrus-y goodness with a passion and goes to great lengths to avoid it, usually by backing far away from it and dashing off to his nearest safe spot.

Phantom Phriday Vol. 11

This week’s Phantom Phriday is cutting it a little close to being out of Friday, so here’s a quick post featuring Aya and Rio!

Aya is really starting to take after Rio. She copies Rio if she sees her doing something, like flopping over like this.

She’s also started to bring Rio toys that Rio loves playing with (milk rings and brightly coloured strings), which makes her look more like Rio’s servant. I’m sure Rio thinks of her as that anyway, haha.

Long time no Phantom, but better late than never! It’s taken me a while to get back into posting these, but I’ll do my best to have them ready each week.

This week has a special guest — Phantom’s new housemate, Aya!

Isn’t she cute? Aya is about 4 months old and she’s been living with us since last week. She settled in very quickly and gets along well with the other three, especially Rio.

Since I haven’t gotten around to taking a good picture of her, I’m going to link to Katie’s post of pictures she’s taken. Just click on Phantom at the bottom!

Phantom Phriday Vol. 9

Phantom Phriday Caturday edition since I forgot to push this post out of my drafts yesterday. Oops.

I may or may not have mentioned it here before, but the youngest kitten and ruler of the house, Rio, absolutely loves  cat cubes. So much that we have to replace them every month because she loves them too much. Even the one we got for her a week or so ago is already looking battered.

To see a cat cube go rolling across the living room floor is a nightly occurrence.

IMG_8311She also has a habit of jumping into a cube before rolling it over to attack things, so I call it her armour.

Phantom Phriday Vol. 7

We have two guests this week! As I mentioned in a previous post, we went to a stargazing party and the couple that hosted it has two pretty kitties. One was a bit more sociable than the other, so I was able to take quite a few pictures of him. He’s a cute little guy!

His housemate came out a little later. She’s shy, but very friendly. Sadly, I didn’t get a good picture of her because the other one kept distracting her. She’s a pretty kitty as well!

Phantom Phriday Vol. 3

I always see amusing pictures of cats all sprawled out with catnip all around them and it always makes me think “If any of our cats did that, it would definitely be Phantom.”

How right I was! I have no idea how he found the baggie it was kept in, but there it was, all sprinkled out over the carpet with Mr. Fatty-meow rolling all over it with his favorite toy, the baggie itself to the side with a ripped up corner.
