Phantom Phriday Vol. 20

A bit late with today’s Phantom Phriday, but it’s still Friday, so on with the show!

Today we’re featuring Rio…Purrincess Rio. The once tiny calico is now large and in charge of the nekotachi and, of course, her peasants.

“I don’t know what you’re doing, peasant, but I don’t trust it.”

‘Rio has presented her belly. You know what to do.”

“What are you looking at, peasant? You don’t see Rio. Rio’s not spying on you or anything.”

Happy Friday! (what’s left of it, anyway!)

This week’s Phantom Phriday is a sleepy one. Earlier today, I noticed the cats weren’t buzzing around the living room like they normally do, so I went back to my room to find Phantom, Sogo, Aya, and Rio all lazing around.

So that left Omi to be the missing one. A short time later, I heard some rustling upstairs in Katie’s room. Sure enough, it was Omi. All 5 now accounted for! He rushed downstairs and jumped up on the table for pets.

I think this is the first time in a long time that I’ve gotten all the cats featured in a Phantom Phriday! Happy Friday to all!

This week’s volume is cutting it close, but we managed to get it in before midnight! Tonight we are preparing to make our own cat food so that the cat crew can start their raw diets. They’re not handling the smell of raw chicken and not being able to eat it yet too well.

“What are you doing, human? Why does it smell good?”

IMG_0224

“Is that…chicken?”

“Hand over the chicken and I wont shred your face in your sleep.”

Forest Park in Autum

fp
Last weekend I tagged along with Katie over to Forest Park for another photo assignment she needed to get done. I actually hadn’t really been over there to walk around before, so there’s another place I can mark off my list. It’s lovely there in autumn, though it was super overcast that day. Here’s a few shots that I took.

I had Mamo-chan with me again. I really like how the colours in this one turned out.

The STL Science Center is nearby, so of course I had to get a shot of the T-Rex.

After we left that location, we headed over to The Muny to get a few more shots. We didn’t get to take as many there though because there were too many wedding parties getting photos taken.

I look forward to going back there again! Hopefully next time there will fewer big groups of wedding parties.

Ending this with a Rio since it’s National Cat Day.

This week’s Phantom Phriday is cutting it a little close to being out of Friday, so here’s a quick post featuring Aya and Rio!

Aya is really starting to take after Rio. She copies Rio if she sees her doing something, like flopping over like this.

IMG_6086

She’s also started to bring Rio toys that Rio loves playing with (milk rings and brightly coloured strings), which makes her look more like Rio’s servant. I’m sure Rio thinks of her as that anyway, haha.

I took some footage of the two playing around, so enjoy and happy Friday! (what’s left of it anyway..!)

The Beach

IMG_9122

Last week, Katie and I flew down to Tampa to visit my family for a few days. Florida was hot and miserable as usual, but we did get to go out to St. Pete beach at sunset, so that made up for it all. My cousin was with us too, so that made the time even more enjoyable!

IMG_9090
The sunset over the water was really gorgeous! Katie and I had our nicer cameras with us, so we took a lot of pictures while we were there. I’ve yet to have time to get mine off my camera, but I plan to this weekend.

IMG_9120

Yes, that is a Luffy hat.

Being there reminded me of my childhood as we used to go to the beach quite a bit. If there’s any one thing that I miss in Florida that we don’t have here in Missouri, it’s the beach (St Pete, to be exact). Other than that, Florida is pretty dull and way too hot for me, haha.

While seeing my family and being at the beach was nice, I missed my little cuddle buddies and couldn’t wait to get back home to them.

Paw Prints in the Snow

Snowing again today and I’m stuck here in a cubicle when I’d rather be home snuggling with the cats. At least I have that to look forward to after work.

Rio had her first little trek in the snow last week. More like a few steps, as she was on our deck, but I’m not sure she liked it very much. She left these cute little paw prints for me though.

I think she’s more of a watching the snow fall kind of kitty rather than a prance around in the snow type.

Also, signal boosting this for a friend of mine. Her kitties experienced a strange, unknown-as-of-yet illness, which resulted in a very large vet bill. Both kitties seem to be doing fine now. If you can either contribute to help them out or just spread the link, they’ll appreciate it!

Phantom Phriday Caturday edition since I forgot to push this post out of my drafts yesterday. Oops.

I may or may not have mentioned it here before, but the youngest kitten and ruler of the house, Rio, absolutely loves  cat cubes. So much that we have to replace them every month because she loves them too much. Even the one we got for her a week or so ago is already looking battered.

To see a cat cube go rolling across the living room floor is a nightly occurrence.

IMG_8311She also has a habit of jumping into a cube before rolling it over to attack things, so I call it her armour.
